The Young Professionals Forum have teamed up with Stillking Films and Jam Cafe (part of Jam Casting) to bring you one of our most exciting networking events to date. So get your glad rags on, doll yourself up, and come down to Jam Cafe to mix with the big, the bold and the beautiful!
Romana Paskova, Marketing Director at Stillking will be delivering a short introduction to the entertainment industry, from the perspective of one of the largest and most-respected Film and TV production companies in Europe. For those not in the know, Stillking Films have helped facilitate some fo the biggest blockbuster hits of recent years - perhaps you heard of The Chronicles of Narnia, James Bond's Casino Royale, or even the Mission Impossible series? Yes? Good, that was them.
To celebrate the YPF's first foray into the world of entertainment, we have also teamed up with Sly Antro, the founder of clubbing new-comer maXimal. Sly will be scratching the decks well into the evening, so be sure to wear shoes that facilitate 'the moves'!

Are you interested in large corporations, the tech sector and entrepreneurship? If so, then Sun Microsystems must be high on your radar. But what do you really know about the company?
The Young Professionals Forum has teamed up with one of the leading lights of Sun here in the Czech Republic to give us an insight into the frantic, dynamic and exciting world of tech in the 21st century.
And here is who he is...
Pavel Suk is a Site Director at Sun Microsystems, responsible for the overall leadership of the software development centre in Prague. The development centre contributes to Sun's major software projects, including open source such as NetBeans, OpenSolaris and GlassFish.
Our expert, Pavel, gained his experience as a development manager, responsible for NetBeans releases and community support.
Prior to working for Sun, Pavel was a manager and developer in CS-Care/Compu-Shack, implementing business-tp-business applications.

The Young Professionals Forum @ JobDays 2008!
From the 29th - 31th May 2008, the Young Professionals Forum exhibited at JobDays 2008. JobDays is the biggest job fair in the Czech Republic focused on national as well as international candidates living in the Czech Republic and abroad. The YPF was located in the main reception area of the fair. Our YPF experts were be on hand to assist visitors in selecting the correct company for them.
At JobDays 2008 local and foreign companies will offer vacancies in all sectors mainly focused on multi-lingual and multi-national audience. The portfolio of exhibitors will be complemented by recruitment agencies, internet job portals and other specialists operating in the employment industry.
The JobDays 2008 is organized by JobsInPrague.cz in cooperation with Eures the European job mobility network. The uniqueness of the JobDays 2008 lies in the fact that companies will be offering concrete job positions to which candidates can immediately apply. The other specialty of this job fair is that candidates will learn about the characteristics of the Czech and EU job markets. JobDays 2008 will also show how and where to search for a job, where candidates can obtain relevant information on employment conditions, where to receive further training or internships and even more.

New Website Launched
On February 17th 2008, we were happy to announce the launching of our new website, www.youngprofessionalsforum.cz. It's been almost a year since we starting talking about creating this organization, and since its inception, the feedback from the community has been incredible.
